• Assistance in managing product risk.  Members have access to quality analysis and ongoing monitoring while retaining independence and authority over product selection.

• Independent reviews of direct participation products and asset managers.  AIBD’s full-time research analyst screens new deals and investigates new offerings focusing on sponsor violability and economic feasibility on the underlying investment opportunity.  A similar process is employed with third party asset managers and their performance records.  In addition, the AIBD provides ongoing monitoring of existing sponsors and products as well as risk adjusted performance analysis of third party asset managers. 

• Networking opportunities.  The principals of the member firms are experienced industry vets with a tradition of sharing and networking with fellow members their knowledge and experience of markets, products, sponsors, and operational issues facing the small independent broker dealer.

• Access to independent legal counsel.  The AIBD retains its own security counsel for product reviews and for regulatory and compliance issues that jointly effect the member firms.

• Forum for education and discussion. Sponsors, asset managers, industry experts and regulators periodically participate at regularly scheduled AIBD meetings.
